My own Darling One
These two things came this a.m. I opened & see if it was anything you'd like me to phone about. Have noted Mrs. Dent's new Tel. no.
Nurse's windows have been done - and now at this moment the blind "hood" is being done. I've let them use my new ladder which they say is a beauty. I'm writing in haste to post this on the way to fetch Gillian.
All well here. I hear planes have been over but do not know whether this is true. Joan & Mrs. Edmunds told me. Anyway we have heard no warning and have not been disturbed.
Have cleared one shelf of the kitchen in order to make it nice for our "shelter." Half filled it with toys & books - other half - wool, iodine bandages & gauze. Gillian is quite thrilled with the idea of making a "shelter" and a little tent under kitchen table. Of course she has no idea of any danger attached but will go there when her Dummiesdrops on the new Leyden tells her & if "Penna" is afraid of the noise she is going to help comfort her like she did her "Wads" in bombed shop.
My little nearly well.
Today an airman called for the "gunpowder" he said you had promised to give & them. I said I was sure it was a mistake. He seemed quite sure that he was to call of it from the Spear of Granville Terrace - maybe for Mr. Petnir - I never thought of that -
So many interruptions hence cannot will post now on the late of Gillian.
All my love. Hope all is well with you - Your Ada.
So sorry your floor is not done hope you can find some sort of peaceful habitation -
